What a wonderful organization!!!!

In this crazy thing called being an entrepreneur, I get to meet a great deal of inspiring people along the way. And Kate Crawford happens to be one of the most awe-inspiring women I have met yet. Well, I haven't met her "met her"....only virtually. Which seems to be the way I meet people these days!!! I bet you are wondering WHY Kate is so amazing..... Well, I am so glad you asked.

Kate has started a non profit organization called Project Sweet Peas

which provides a variety of care packages to neonatal intensive care units across the country. They include items to promote bonding between parents and child, and also wellness items for Mom and Dad. If you are not familiar with the NICU environment, it is a very stressful experience, especially for the baby. The stressful environment for baby (bright lights on and off, noises, machines, etc.) leads to sensory issues such as visual ones.

Visual stimulation is vital in the NICU. Most NICU's worry about getting the baby healthy enough for discharge, and do not worry about what they consider minute problems. If some sort of visual therapy is not introduced during the vital period of the development of the eye, babies can lead into long term problems, which could include blindness. Project Sweet Peas try to include items that are visually stimulating for babies in their care packages. (Now I bet you can figure out how our paths have crossed....lol)

Kate Crawford, Corin Nava, and Stephanie Olivarez started up Project Sweet Peas so they could comfort parents and children nationwide that are struggling through the NICU experience just as they had years ago. With the help of others and donations, Project Sweet Peas, has delivered 2061 care packages. And I think that is pretty AMAZING!! And I am happy to be able to help them out! It is hard to believe that 2010 is coming to an end. It truly has been such an exciting year for Zeebabee! And it is making me very exciting to see what 2011 has in store. As most of you already know, the Burp Sees made there debut in an upscale department store, Von Maur. This was a goal of Zeebabee's (and of course, mine) to be in at least one larger retail store or department store before the year's end. And we did it!! Now with this under our belt, I am sure you will be seeing a great deal of Zeebabee products on the shelves wherever you shop. Go BIG or go home.....that's what I keep telling myself!!

Another bit of exciting news is that very, very soon, we will be revealing our newest product. Well, it doesn't have a name yet but I will give you a hint..... it is "mini" tummy time mat. I just got my hands on the first one and it is so darling....super cute....absolutely adorable. I hope my customers (and my baby customers....that's who matters, right?) love it as much as I do!

It's almost December....it will be one year since I pitched the Burp Sees to our local boutique, The Littlest Details. 12 States and 21 boutiques later....Zeebabee is headed to Von Maur Department store, an upscale department store in the Midwest. Our Burp Sees will be introduced to Von Maur customers in 11 of their stores this December. I am very excited about this venture and I am looking forward to seeing the Burp Sees amongst all the fabulous infant products Von Maur carries.

I do have to say Zeebabee has come a long way in the last year. It makes me a little giddy to think what I might be typing in my blog next year at this time. I am a dreamer and a true believer that if your visions are clear and you are driven....anything is possible.. And that to me is so exciting!!!

New product news..... Just designed a new tummy time mat. Haven't named it yet but I love it and I can't wait to share it with you and all our customers. It certainly should be ready for sale by the beginning of the year.

OK, lots of work to do as always. I promise to not be a stranger to the blog. :)

The best way you as a parent can stimulate baby's vision is using black and white or light and dark contrasting colors. So what about those nice soft pastels that used to be so popular in baby toys and nurseries? While these may look pretty to you, they do nothing visually for your baby. Research has proven that black and white contrasts register powerfully on baby's retina and send the strongest visual signals to baby's brain. Stronger signals mean more brain growth and faster visual development. Surround a baby with soft pastel colors, and you might as well be blindfolding him. Surround your baby with black and white products or pictures, and watch your baby's eyes light up.

I also will be sending out email campaigns, newsletters and such! This I am very excited about. Business has been very good lately....and I am just trying to keep up the momentum!!! Slowly but surely you WILL see Zeebabee in every baby boutique nationwide. Okay, okay....maybe not everyone....but MOST of them....all the great ones!!! :)

Exciting adventures 2010 has brought!!

Wow!!! 2010 has brought some exciting things for Zeebabee Designs! I have been reaping the rewards of my hard work. The local paper, The Morning Journal, is including Zeebabee in an article that will be published next week, I think. It's in their insert called Good Living in Avon. The circulation for the paper is about 20,000 plus on news stands locally. That is some great exposure for us!!

I have been reaching out to baby boutiques nationwide. And it has been quite a successful campaign. I want to try and do as much as I possibly can before I have to contact some sales reps to help me. I want to wait as long as I can before I have to pay others 15% commission.

I am also working with a national magazine to be included in an article. I'll keep you posted once I know more.

So I can definitely say....I think 2010 is going to be the year for Zeebabee!! Well, at least, here's to hoping!! All my friends and family have been so supportive and extremely helpful on spreading the word about Zeebabee. I am so thankful for all of you!!

Oh....and I almost forgot....the boutiques that the burp sees ARE in-----are selling them like hotcakes! I get so excited every time I hear about the great sales they are having. :)

Happy New Year everyone! I am looking forward to a wonderful and very prosperous year for Zeebabee Designs!! 2009 went out with a bang....and here's to a very successful 2010. I love having a goal, a vision, it helps me keep an eye on the prize.

With the holidays fast approaching.....I have never been so busy in my entire life. Zeebabee has boomed and I think there is no going back. :) I am hoping the momentum continues in 2010. My goal is to get into as many boutiques as I can. I just have to find a way to do it....because I can't do it all right now. I would love to go the route of sales reps...but I am having a little trouble finding some. I contacted a few but haven't heard back as of yet. If any of my readers no of any sales reps please let me know....it would be very much appreciated.

And maybe this year we will see some new products from Zeebabee.....who knows??!!!???

I need a personal assistant!

Okay I know, I know....I am not very good at this blogging thing. I try....but I run out of time in the day. I need a few more hours everyday...as I am sure most of us do. I decided that I need a personal assistant and a nanny. I know that won't be happening anytime soon....so I will have to learn how to organize my time a bit better.

I really want to keep you all informed on my journey....so I will start my New Year's resolution early and Blog more..... Wish me luck!!

Okay now on to some news----- Found out that the Burp Sees are selling like hotcakes in boutiques!! This is very exciting for me. So I am moving full force ahead and working on getting some sales reps to get Zeebabee in boutiques nationwide. I am going to pitch to a few today and hope that they would like to take me on as their client.

Whenever I talk to my sister T, about Zeebabee and where things are at. She is always so quick to say....I know you are going to make it big. And it's not just that she says these positive words....but it is the way she says them....with such conviction, like she already knows it will happen!! And that means so much to me. The reason I bring this up is because I have been thinking a great deal lately of what I need to do to get Zeebabee out there.....to really make it a household name. And positive thinking is the key. God has a plan....and I do believe I am following His plan. Sometimes I wish He would just help me out a bit and give me a quick look at His plan....lol. But I trust that it is what it is :)

Okay on with what I need from you!!! I humbly ask that each of you pass on Zeebabee to your friends. Whether it be in an email or by word of mouth.... tell them about a great product!!! I am going to send out an email to all my friends, family and customers that I will ask them to pass on to EVERYONE they know. In these tight times, I am choosing to not get a PR company, but to do the work myself. And this will help out a great deal....and it's free. And you'd be helping out a friend :) Remember the 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon....just think how many people I could get the word out to.

The Queen of Multitasking

Is it Multitasking or is it ADD?? LOL....I seem to thrive on doing a thousand things at a time!! But these days...I have to. I have so much on my plate with Zeebabee right now. And I need to get it done. My goal between now and the end of the year is to get into many retail locations as possible. The bigger the better...so I am starting big and then working on the boutiques. One of my entrepreneur mom friends is doing my media kit for me for a small nominal fee....once that gets completed....I will be ready to rock and roll.

I kind of took the summer off. I worked Zeebabee....but not as hard as I need to. It was just so nice enjoying the kids in our new home this summer. But now my oldest is in kindergarten and it's time to get this party started. Right? So hopefully in the months ahead I will be able to report to you some great happenings with Zeebabee. :)

Okay....back to the grinding board!!! :)

Good afternoon....as most of you already know. Getting Zeebabee products into Nordstrom's would be my absolute dream come true. So I bit the bullet and sent them my product info along with 2 samples. (Do you realize I had been sitting on that contact info for many many many months....just too scared to do anything) After conferring with a few people....I do believe I had the correct contact information to the national infant buyer for Nordstrom's. This is huge, people!!! I really hope they receive it....and love what they see. I truly believe that the Zeebabee burp sees would be a fantastic addition to the baby department at Nordstrom's. Others have told me the same....I do like those people :)

So I ask and pray that my loyal readers....send a few good vibes my way....and that I receive "the call".......

Yes....yes....yes....I know I have been Missing In Action!!
So much has been going on a few weeks back we had a major malfunction with the shopping pages of the Zeebabee Website but now things are operable again....so that's good. I am really looking into changing my website....make it more user friendly....not very happy with it right now. So I will let everyone know once the "facelift" has been completed :)

Well, the photo shoot on Saturday went fabulous....got a lot of great new product shots. I want to announce that I added a new Burp See on the website this evening....Turquoise Tiffany. Reminiscing about photo shoot #1 (see above picture)....and I realized boy do I need to have a Photo shoot #3. I have lots of new styles of burp sees that I would like to have on the website. And we are going to be selling individual burp sees as well. So I really need to get some photographed. I am very excited because everything worked out well. We are going to be in Michigan for a visit this weekend...and I am meeting up with the photographer that did my first 2 photo shoots. So hopefully sooner than later...you will all get to see the new burp sees on the website.

Happy Mother's Day to me...and all the wonderful mommies out there...old and new....LOL! This morning I got the most beautiful cards from my sons and my husband...and we are off this afternoon to afternoon to get my mother's day gift. They are getting me the Troll Bead bracelet and picking out my very first charm beads for it. So excited!!

I am so very very blessed to have such a wonderful family. Although my kids can drive me absolutely nutso sometimes...I wouldn't have it any other way. I love them dearly. And I don't think I would have such a wonderful life if it wasn't for my amazing mother...she did such a great job raising us. and her job was a bit tougher....she had 5 of us to raise. Go her!!! I always ask her...how did you do it?? Five....that's alot....I only have 2 and it's a challenge sometimes. She has a lot of patience...and I admire that in her. I am learning my patience... I love you, MOM!

Can I do it all?

So that is the question for the day? Can I do it all? I can try....but I can not beat myself up if I don't get it all done. Most people try to live up to other people's expectations....I try to live up to my own. LOL Almost 100% recovered from the little bug I got....and now I am staring down the barrell of a long long long to do list. But trying to stay positive today....I can only accomplish one thing at a time...oh well....you know me...2 or 3 things at a time. :)

One good thing is Mother's Day is Sunday....they should be nice and relaxing...if I let it. :)

Got back from Florida on Sunday and was just getting back into the swing of things....and was hit by the stomach flu. Yuck yuck...no fun! I got it from my 4 yo who had it the second day of our vacation. Well, I am recovering and looking to get some work done one of these days. And lots of work I have to do!! Now that I have my brochures in hand...it's all about marketing Zeebabee. I want to order a car magnet as well. Fun stuff! So I guess instead of me talking about I must get off the computer and start doing....LOL! I am making a pledge to myself to blog everyday. So for all the readers I have lost for not being a good blogger.....I hope I get you back!! :)

So it's usually safe to say that if I am not posting then I am either really busy or nothing exciting is happening!! :) But I do have to say that this time it's because I have been super busy. I have lots of work been going on with Zeebabee. Getting lots of sales, working on adding new styles of Burp Sees to the website, trying to find sales reps, and the list goes on and on and on. I do find it hard at times....especially with out a babysitter. But I just keep truckin' on!! Hopefully I will have some very exciting news soon.

Okay so I haven't blogged in awhile....I have just been super busy and sick all at the same time...HA! So now I am back! I really don't think I have anything unusually great to post about. I have been just plugging away and networking my little (ha ha) hiney off!! It's a full time job just networking and promoting Zeebabee. I really need to find a babysitter soon. I am not getting much done in a day...either that or start staying up late again. That's no fun!! I like to relax when the kids go to bed.

Well, sorry for the boring post....I'll have some more exciting posts tomorrow or the next day ;) Oh...how do you like the picture! This is my youngest laughing hysterically!!

That was my happy news!! Not so good news was that Oakwood Hospital Gift Shop just decided to cut back due to the economy, still interested in my products but can't add on a new line. I was told to check back in the Fall. Oh well, so much for sure things....LOL.

But there are still lots in the works...and I need to find the time to get it all done. I wish there were more hours in the day...or less meals to make for the kids ....just joking!! I just always feel like I am cooking or cleaning or wiping some one's behind sometimes. But I guess these were the troubles I knew I was going to encounter as a Mompreneur.

Well everyone....I am back in action! With the 1 year stay on the CPSIA...it buys me sometime to get Zeebabee back in the game. All systems a go!! I was very excited when I heard the news on Friday. I had felt over the last few months that I was in a stand still but now it's time to rock -n-roll. I have lots underway right now.... So hopefully I will have some exciting news for you all real soon.

I will be in talks with Oakwood Hospital tomorrow about getting Zeebabee into their gift shop. Can't wait to hear what products they will be interested in. Also one of my good childhood friends has a store in Novi, MI called Sincerely Yours and she said that I can send some of my products to her for her to sell at the store. Very excited about that. Because I know my products would do great with her clientele.

I am working on having a professional brochure designed and printed up. I was kind of kicked into gear to get it done because a pediatric eye doctor contacted me and would like to have some brochures to give to her patients' parents. She is a firm believer in what Zeebabee is all about!!

So those are just a couple of the exciting things that are going on right now with Zeebabee. There lots more but I must go and get back to work now....time is limited when you have two little guys running around.....3 when hubby gets home from work....LOL.

First do you like it... and second what's the first name that comes to your mind. I am looking to name it.... And remember it's not the best pic in the world....but you get the idea!!

Spring is around the corner...

Maybe I am a true optimist...but signs that spring is right around the corner have begun. Some of you are laughing at me, as you look out and see the inches and inches of snow on the ground. But have you noticed that it doesn't get as dark earlier as it used to about a month ago. And another reason is that business is picking up...a true sign the the baby shower season is approaching!! LOL!! A true sign of spring!! Spring has to come soon, because as a work at home mom of 2 young boys, I might just go insane if the boys don't get some fresh air and play outside!!!!!!! I know all you moms feel what I'm saying. Maybe if we all started chanting SPRING TIME! SPRING TIME! SPRING TIME! it'll come sooner. (couldn't hurt) :-)

This past week I have been quite busy with sales...good thing I had got my workspace completed and organized...just in time. Now it's time to get it all messed up!!! :)

Zeebabee Workspace

So I have finally got my workspace organized in the new house and here are some of the pics that I promised. It's still pretty plain and I need a chair. But I am very excited to have a space all of my own just for my work....and it is clutter free....woooo hooooooo. The closet in that room has all wired shelves inside for additional storage (which is all being utilized).

And for Christmas this year my hubby had my Zeebabee logo framed...It was a great surprise!! :) Here it is:

Happy New Year everyone! I hope all of you have had a wonderful holiday season with your friends and family. I really can't believe how much has changed over 2008 for me and my family. If you would have told me last January that a year from now I would have Zeebabee Designs up can running and that I would be living in Ohio....I would have laughed! Funny how things work out. 2008 was a great year and I hope that 2009 will be just as successful for me and for the ones that I love.

I am finally working on my Zeebabee workspace here in the new house. I will try to post some pictures real soon. I would say tomorrow....but you know how that goes....LOL.

So it's time for some New Year's resolutions. I'll share mine if you share yours. Okay...I'll go first....I definitely am going to try to eat better in 2009 and work out. I need to get this body back to where it was before all the baby making!! And my philosophy in 2009 will be "if I can dream it...I can do it...." Okay now it's your turn...tell me what your resolution for this year will be. :)

So this is my youngest little peanut! He's 2 years old and he is the pickiest eater EVER. He doesn't eat the foods that the average toddler eats. Like pasta, rice, grapes, you catch my drift, right? Until now....he had pasta the other day for the very first time. (granted I have been trying to feed him it for the last year of his life) And of course he has eaten it every day since. I am the proudest mommy in the whole world. It was such an exciting day for me!! I love pasta and the thought of one of my offspring not loving pasta....well I was down right appalled by it....LOL. It's a glorious time....a glorious time!! Gone is the day where all he'll eat for dinner is a grilled cheese sandwich.

I met the owner of Candid Gifts through Mommy Millionaire, Her name is Melissa and she started her company, Candid Gifts, a few years back and has been so successful with her gift baskets...that she decided to open a boutique. Okay so it has been awhile...so long I probably lost all the readers I did have. But I did have a good excuse....really I did. We just moved from Michigan to Ohio....and we were without internet access for about one week. So from here on out I promise to be a good blogger. I pinky swear....heee heee!

If there are still any dedicated readers out there...I just want to let you know that the move went fabulous and we are happily living in Ohio now....for the next 2-3 years. I have a feeling we are going to like it here!

Hi there!

So sorry I have been MIA the last 2 weeks...but my blog was acting up and I could get to it to post....it was quite strange. And then the last week has been filled with lots of extra fun! We had a few fun filled days of Halloween and then last Saturday was my youngest son's 2nd birthday party.

I had to post this picture of him and those googly glasses....it's hilarious!!

The move is getting closer and I seem to be getting more anxious! Looking forward to moving but just not the moving process. I'm sure all of you that have moved before know what I am talking about. So for all you that have moved before....do you have any good advice for making it as smooth as possible. Especially on how to make the move as easily as possible WITH KIDS. I've never moved with kids before. Would love all the advice I can get.

Hi all,

It's early Sunday morning, and I am just waiting for my mother-in-law to come an pick me up so we can check out the new Home Goods near us. So I thought now would be a good time to catch up and post something on my blog.

Things have been a bit hectic lately getting ready for the big move and all. I had to pack away my work area so it is very difficult everytime I get an order. Although lots of my inventory will be shipped out this week for the big Indy Christmas show I'll be in....in the beginning of November! I am hoping for Zeebabee to be a big success there!

Also big news is that I will be in a retail store in the beginning of November. The store is called Candid Gifts and it is located in Illinois....just outside Chicago area. Wish me luck!!

Well....Everyone! I have a bit of news. Some of you already know...but for those of you who do not know....We will be relocating to Ohio. The Cleveland Area to be exact!! Me and my family will be there for about 2-3 years. My husband's company offered him a great job down there...so we couldn't resist. It's pretty exciting for us. And thank goodness I can own and operate Zeebabee Designs from anywhere!! I might be out of commission for a week during the move but other than that it will be business as usual!!

I know I haven't been blogging as I should be. Just been very busy with the moving decisions and Zeebabee! I know this blog is to follow my journey...and I do apologize that I have not kept you all up on what has been going on! But for those of you who are interested...business is going great. Sneak Peek....possible new products

TA DA!!! Here is the prototype of the possible new product for Zeebabee Designs. It's a playmat/quilt blanket for tummy time or just for your little one to hang out on the ground. The picture is not a great one...it's not showing the colors very well. But you get the idea. It's 30"x 30". I'm not sure what I am going to call it yet. But I just wanted to post it to all my readers to see what they thought about it....do you like it?? Do you think that this would be a good addition to my products. I have had a lot of requests for a blanket of some sort.

Life's crazy with little boys!! But I love it!

Okay I have gotten used to the crazy days I spend with my boys (day in and day out), trying to work, trying to clean the house and keep it clean, and the list could go on forever. It's a little bit easier on the weekends, with Daddy home too.

So today has been going pretty well. Still having the occasional outburst or fight over the toys, but nothing too bad. Then I am in the kitchen preparing lunch for the boys when my 4 year old came to me holding his Tigers baseball hat (which was sopping wet) mumbling something under his breath about "I didn't mean it ...it was an accident" He was going to potty in the bathroom...finished and then looked in the toilet and his hat fell in there. (Did I mention that he had already peed????) So he had taken his pee drenched hat and brought it all the way into the kitchen. Yes...you are right...I had pee drops from the bathroom to the kitchen.

This is the truth!!! I only wish I could make these things up....

So you are a new mom and a new entrepreneur....what made you decide to turn your life into a roller coaster ride...lol. Seriously, what made you decide to launch Ellie Bags?
It all started because I was tired of switching my things back and forth between my purse and the diaper bag. And I hated carrying around a big bulky diaper bag when I only needed a few things. I enlisted the help of my mom and we created The Over Tote™ System, the smart new way to carry a diaper bag. I didn’t know about the roller coaster part at the time!

Tell us a little bit about Ellie Bags for those of us who haven't checked out the website yet.
Our main product is the Over Tote™ which is a diaper bag that goes OVER your purse! Pretty cool, huh? I know it’s a new concept, so it’s a little difficult to understand it without actually seeing it, but this has made things so much easier for me. We also have a collection called, “Make Life Simpler” which is a collection of products that make life easier for moms and dads. You’ve gotta check out the Sleep Sheep and Itzbeen Timer!

So this interview isn't going to be like others you have done before. We and my readers (fellow mommies) want to know more on how you balance your work life and your home life....oh and I forgot to mention that you are a full time school teacher on top of that...so your other work life, too. ;)
Now that Ellie Bags is up and running...does your hubby do more chipping in on housework?
Believe it or not, he’s always been pretty good about that. I’ve never been very organized, so I’ve tried really hard to make sure everything has a place. That way it’s very easy to clean up quickly, no matter who does it. Now putting away the laundry is another story!

When do you find the time to do your work? When do you find time to relax and enjoy your family?
I used to do my work while my son played on his own or when he slept. Now that I’m back at work teaching, it’s usually after he goes to bed. I actually enjoy what I’m doing though, so I don’t mind putting in the time. I miss my online friends when I’m not chatting with them!
Every other moment is spent with my family. We really try to have “family time” whenever everyone is home.

Who has been the greatest supporter of you and your goals? By the way, we would love to know what your goals are...
My husband and my mom (my partner!) are wonderful and have encouraged me all along. My brother is sort of my motivational speaker. He calls me and tells me to keep at it. He’s a tremendously talented artist and runs his own business too. Can I put a little plug in here for him? http://www.predmore.com
My goals? Well, let’s just say I’ve decided to spend the year figuring that out.
If you could change one thing in your life right now...what would it be....be honest.
I truly believe the decision to go back to teaching was the right one for us at this time. But if I could change one thing with all things being ideal? I’d be with my son all day.

And lastly, please give all of us wannabe mompreneurs a little bit of advice.
The one piece of advice I would give is to get out there and network. I have met so many great people and have learned so much from them. I always tell my students that we are all smart in different ways. Learn from each other and share your expertise.

Reasons I love Autumn

1. College football- even though I'm not a big fan...I secretly enjoy it being on TV in the background on Saturdays...DO NOT tell my husband :)

3. Back to School- there is something so magical at Back to School time...I love it!

4. The smell of the air

5. Leaves changing colors

6. Getting to wear jeans and flip flops----my favorite!!

10. Not being overly hot when doing fun outside activities...lol

Oh me oh my....
Today has been one of those days. And to say it has been a struggle to work and to be a mommy is an understatement. I just keep trying to remember that I have to breathe in and breathe out and all will work itself out. But sometimes it is hard to do that when both kids are at your feet every waking second demanding something. I want milk, I wanna snack, Mommy why do
I have bones, Mommy read to me about insects, Mommy I need a Kleenex. And then the random running around the house with a booger on their finger demanding to wipe it off. (but acting like it is liquid acid and their finger is melting in front of their eyes) Oh did I tell you that both of my little angels have nice boogery runny noses. If I could only count how many time I have walked to the bathroom for a Kleenex....before I thought of a new inventive idea for a fanny pack that is a Kleenex dispenser for us crazy moms. You like that don't you!! I thought of it first. Although I don't have time for another company....LOL!!

Okay I need to get back to work. This is the last thing I need to be doing right now is updating my blog. I need to write a press release...wish me luck!

So my oldest son just turned 4....and wow he is just full of question and is always thinking!! But the other day it was hilarious. He comes up to me with a picture book and there was a picture of a cute little kitten. And M said "Oh mommy...isn't this kitty so cute...I want a kitten" I told him that he already had a cat, PJ. He said but PJ is not cute like this kitten. I want a kitten. I explained to him that he already has a nice loving cat and that if we want to see kittens we could go to the local pet store and pet some kitties. And then he thought about it for a minute and said....." well, how about we just bring PJ to the pet store and leave her there and get a new kitty."

Can you believe it? How funny!!! Maybe he'll end up being a creative problem solver....who knows!!

Good morning, everyone!!

I just wanted to let you know that I am still around. Life has gotten a little hectic ever since launching Zeebabee Designs. But I am getting things in order and I think I am in a sane place right now (smile)!

Check out Mommy's Idea.....she did an interview of me on her blog. It was alot of fun to do! In honor of her launching her new company, Ellie Bags, she is interviewing Mom-created companies that just launched themselves. So check it out!!

It's funny...I have already had a few sales already! Which I love! Keep them coming! I love getting feedback so go to Zeebabee Designs and let me now what you think.... And I just sent out my products to be included in the gift swag bag for Nicole Kidman. How exciting! Everyday it's something new and that is what has been so much fun!!

Can you believe it?? The website is finally done. Well, there are a few minor changes that we'll be doing down the road. But we are in business! Kinda scary though! I know this is going to be an adventure...but not quite sure what kind...LOL! I love my products and I am hoping that you and all of America does too!! I did send this to some of our friends in London and Mexico too....so maybe it won't just be in America....ha ha ha!!

Last week was so crazy with finishing the website and planning my son's 4th birthday party. but I did it and they were both a success!! He had a great time at his party...although a bit sad the big giant bouncy is gone from the backyard. (so is his little brother) All the kids had a blast. Till next year!! Although Baby brother J has a party coming in November...geez!! LOL! I love planning parties... so not to worry!!

Okay, okay, okay! We are not up for business.... We are looking at sometime next week. But don't worry... I'll will let everyone know...trust me!! If you go outside your home, you might just hear me hollering it from my rooftop. LOL!! We thought everything would ready to go by last week but as everyone knows...things happen. So it won't be too much longer. Hey, I still need to figure out Quickbooks. I can't start making money if I don't know what to do with it. So wish me luck in learning Quick book. Better yet, wish me luck....and patience!!

I just have this amazing energy burning through me today...I am loving life!! I spent most of the day on the computer with the web designer...and I am loving the progress we made. His goal is to have me operating my business by the end of the week...yoowza! Am I ready for that? This is all getting very exciting! I can't imagine how excited I'll be when someone actually buys some of my products (you know...that aren't my friends or family...)

I went to USPS (the post office) to have them weigh my products so I can state my shipping prices. And did you know that if you use the post offfice to ship you get all your supplies for free (boxes, envelops, etc.). So I think they have been the cheapest so far. they are really trying to compete with Fed Ex and UPS now.

Well, I guess I better go....I need to finish working on my website copy!!

Drum roll please....... the pictures are in. And I do have to say I am dying to give you all a sneak peek. But I just don't know if I should. I'll think about it....so keep checking back to see if I give in and do. Well, now that I have the pictures this week is going to be a crazy busy week. I have to start working on the copy for the products. Which shouldn't be too bad. I already had some notes jotted down. I did finish my mission...I can share that with you.

So right now....I am just anxiously awaiting for my pictures to come back from the photographer. Oh, did I mention I was anxious??? :) Once I get the pictures back then everything will really start to come together....the website will be able to get completed. I can work on my brochure and card.

As of right now though...I need to take my creative brain and shut it off and try to sit down and figure out how to use Quickbooks. That's what I am going to use to do my accounting until I get so big I can't do it myself....and then I'll hire my sister The CPA to do it for me...(unless you want to do it for me right now big sis....wink wink) JK!!

Well, time to take the kids outside in the backyard and play in the kiddie pool!! How fun! :)

Well...the long awaited photo shoot went very well. All the babies did an amazing job. And the best thing of all is that they loved the 'Burp See' burp cloths and the 'Baby See' T-shirts!! And so did their mommies. I was very excited to see how well received my products were. This is just the beginning of this amazing journey I am on. And I am loving every minute of it!

I can't wait for all of you to see the website....and to see all the great pictures! And then let the games begin. I can't wait to have the problem of finding the time to fill all the orders...LOL! I actually already have a few orders in! Woo hoo!! I love it......

I'll try to post more often but it is hard. Time has really become limited. Plus I don't even know if anyone reads this :) LOL

Shirts

Hi all!

Exciting news!!! The shirts are to be delivered tomorrow. It will be so nice to have them so I can start really concentrating on the packaging of them. And most importantly, now I can arrange the photo shoot.....so I can get my website up and running! I cannot wait till that gets done....let the business begin!!

I really am looking forward to seeing the reaction and response I get from people regarding my products. It's one thing for friends and family to love them. but it's another for a complete stranger to pay cold hard cash for it! :)

I'll update once I get the shirts and let you know how the new design turned out!!

The stress is starting to creep in!!

Oh this little venture is starting to become a bit stressful. I am starting to realize that all of this is alot of work for just little ole me. I know I can do it....it just would be nice if I had a partner that I can roll ideas off or that could help make some of these decisions. There are always sooo soo soooo many decisions. I guess i wouldn't have such ants in my pants about everything if the shirts would have come out correctly and we (I mean I...ha ha ha) were well on our way to opening our online store. But no....now I have extra time to think about everything...and apparently my idle mind can make me second guess my decisions.

I guess I need to stop blogging and get my behind back to work. Just thought I would take a minute and vent...in hopes that someone out there might feel sorry for me...just kidding!! I still love what I am doing and you will see me successful one day. One day soon!!!

So there are still lots of things to get done before the start of Zeebabee Designs. But I am still waiting patiently for the shirts. I am hoping (very much so) that I will have them by the end of this week.

We have a new burp cloth design that is coming underway quite nicely. And at this rate it just might be available when we launch. That will be exciting! If you can't tell I am getting very anxious to get this all completed.

On a different note.... yesterday we had a going away party for my brother and his family...they are moving to Texas. Dallas, Texas!! So far away. I am going to miss them very much!!! But this will be a new and exciting opportunity for him and his family. I wish them all the luck and happiness in the world.

TROUBLE

Hi there! I'm back from Florida and very sad!! The shirts came while we were gone and they are all wrong. Very disappointed to say the least. Unfortunately now that the shirts will not be ready it is going to prolong the launch of Zeebabee Designs. Not sure by how long, though! I guess it's one of those things where you just live and learn.

But besides the shirts everything is going good. The burp clothes look great and I am still trying to decide a fun way to package them. Also I have designed another burp cloth and that prototype is coming along wonderfully.

I'll keep you posted.

By the way...I'm nice and tan....LOL!!

Well....we are getting down to the wire. Lots of deadlines. And guess what we are leaving for Florida today....great timing!! :) Oh well..... My husband is bringing his laptop so I'll get to work a little down there...but not too much. I can't wait to relax in the sun!

I unfortunately am still waiting for the shirts to arrive and I am nervous now. Because we are leaving for Florida and I still don't have them. This could be a major problem. I guess there is nothing I can do about it now. Just hope for the best.

I DO have all the burp cloths in my greedy little hands and they look so adorable. Can't wait to show the world my stuff. Hopefully they will love them as much as I do. So far all the feedback has been amazing. The lady who is making the burp cloths for me says that when people see them....they ask her where I'll be selling them. Because they really like them. That's promising!!

Gotta run and go finish packing!! Off to Florida we go. See you when I get back...till then!

Been so busy....

Hello! Seems alike it's been awhile... I have been very busy trying to still meet the launch date of sometime in June. the beginning of June is still looking good...hopefully I can stay on track. Although our vacation to Florida in the middle of May probably isn't going to help any but oh well...I guess I will start this business venture very well rested and tan....chuckle! The kids are coming on this vacation so I don't know how rested I'll be...LOL!!

The shirts are to be done this week. Can't wait to get them in my greedy little hands. I hope they turn out great and I hope they are everything I envisioned them to be. If not then I guess it is back to the drawing board....no giving up!!

The burp clothes are coming along great. The seamstress should have the first 60 done by this Friday. The labels came in yesterday. That was an exciting moment. Everything felt so real when I saw them for the first time...like this is all really happening and I am GOING to do this!! I cannot wait to share everything with everyone.

I really need to start working on the website copy before the web designer reaches through the computer screen and tries to wring my neck:) And I need to get the tag designed...I guess that will be easy once I get the copy done.

Gotta run...family needs to eat dinner. Till next time.

So this morning I was so excited because Lucky Labels sent me an email....they had scanned and emailed me a copy of my sample apparel label. How very exciting...

I decided to call myself Zee Owner. I think it is fun with out being tooo crazy. Just enough edge! Lots going on this week. I will have t-shirts in hand before too long. I decided on a company in Arizona to produce the shirts. Glad I am keeping business in the good ole USA. The clothing labels should arrive by the being of May. And at that time I really need to figure out who's going to be producing the burp cloths for me. I have a small manufacturing company in Connecticut that can do it but I would like to keep in more locally. So we'll see how that goes.

Lots to do...lots to do....but having fun doing it. Been crazy at times trying to juggle being a perfect mom (eye rolling) and a mompreneur. Hopefully the fruits of my labor will pay off.

Getting tired....need to go to sleep soon. Get up and do it all again tomorrow.

So I have to decide what I want to put on my business cards. What to call myself.....hmmmmm. Everyone is telling me to call myself President. It seems like a head trip to "president" of a one person company. But I do want to be professional. On the other had my company image is very playful, fun and whimsical. the website is going to be very laid back...as if chatting with girl friends...not all technical and serious....since I am not like that at all. And indeed, Zeebabee, is an extension of myself!! So I was playing around with a few titles with a few friends of mine and here's the list we came up with. Some professional, some fun and some just downright silly!!

Things are coming along!

It seems like since last Sunday morning....everything is moving ahead at top speed. So much, that at times, I am not quite sure I can keep up. The guy that is doing my website (actually used to work for me when we lived in Cleveland) reminded me that I was doing this all by myself. And he is right...I am only one person (with 2 young kids on top of that)!! But I get such ants in my pants when I am waiting for something to come back from an outside source. Sometimes I wish i had the abilities to do everything myself. Oh well....I must learn to be moooooore patient.

I am starting to get freaked out at all the decisions that I have to make. Always wondering if I am making the right one. This week i will be deciding who will produce the burpclothes and who will be doing the t-shirts. Both are going to be out of state (but still in the US...woo hooo) so that will make it difficult for me to deal with the handlings of it.

It's funny in this journey I have noticed that some days I am soo stressed and other days I am so geeked. Yesterday very geeked and so happy to be doing this. and today I am anxious and nervous that I am not making the correct creative decisions.

I am off to Jo Ann Fabrics to get some supplies with my little helper, Justin. I guess you would consider him a helper if throwing things on the floor was something I was needing. LOL!
